WHAT DOES P31 IN “P31BEAUTY“ STAND FOR?
In the Bible, Proverbs chapter 31 and verses 10-31 describe the attributes, actions, and appearance of a godly woman or “a virtuous woman”. The woman described in Proverbs 31 is someone that I strive to be one day. Faith and fashion are intertwined in this blog, so I thought it would be fitting to add part of what inspires me to become closer to Christ in the title of my blog. WHO TAKES YOUR PICTURES?
I’ve been asked if my pictures are professionally taken, and no they’re not! It’s all about the lens you get. My parents and brother, Aiden, take my pictures. Recently, Aiden has been taking my pictures more often.
WHAT CAMERA BODY, CAMERA LENS, AND EDITING SOFTWARE DO YOU USE?
I’ve used the Canon Rebel T3i DSLR body since I started blogging. After reading countless articles and watching numerous tutorials about how to use the manual function of a DSLR, I ended up getting a prime (non-zoom) lens to match the body. Prime lenses are sharp, quick, and great for fashion photography since they produce a nice blurred background. I use an 85mm f/1.8 Canon lens. Although I love this lens, I am looking to get a 35mm lens since the 85mm lens is a bit too zoomed in to capture shots on the go such as when you’re traveling. To put into perspective what it’s like using an 85mm lens, you have to stand pretty far from the subject in order to capture their whole body. A 35mm lens requires standing only a few steps away. When I went on my Europe trip, I rented a Sigma 35mm lens and loved it! It is on the pricier side, however.

WHAT IS YOUR FAITH?
I am a Christian, a follower of Christ. I believe in salvation. The only way to get to Heaven is through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He died for our sins so that we don’t have to spend an eternity in hell. All we have to do is accept him as our Savior.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE BOOKS?
One of the ways I determine my favorite books are by asking myself if I would reread them and if they have impacted the way I see the world. Some of my favorite books are The Help, The Book Thief, The Percy Jackson Series, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Awakening, and The Great Gatsby.
WHERE ARE YOUR FAVORITE PLACES TO SHOP?
When you’re a student, your first stop in any store is the sale section! I love shopping at Zara, H&M, Mango, Nordstrom Rack (for shoes!), and Forever 21. I like WINDOW shopping at Madewell, Kate Spade, and Anthropologie.
